BATTLECROSS HEADLINE “WINTER WARRIORS TOUR” w/ WRETCHED & WAR OF AGES

- October 15th, 2014 –
Detroit, Michigan’s Battlecross are heading back out on the road this November and December. The band had previously been scheduled to perform on the recently cancelled Machine Head tour, and will now headline the US instead! Joining Battlecross on their winter romp are Wretched and War of Ages. The tour begins on November 26 in Grand Rapids, MI, and draws to a conclusion in Worcester, MA at the Palladium.
In honor of the US Armed Forces this Veterans Day, Battlecross will make a limited number of tickets to VET TIX so that local members of the military may attend a show in their city at no cost. The band will also be donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of a limited edition tour shirt to a local veteran’s charity, and chose a Veteran in each market for a VIP experience. On Veteran’s Day (November 11th) fans can nominate a friend or family member who has served our country and share their story and photo, with a member of the military being chosen to win a Guitar and more at the end of the tour. On the same day, the band will also bring back merchandise from their first Metal Blade album ‘Pursuit of Honor‘ in their official merch store, with a portion of proceeds to benefit the Wounded Warriors Project, a veterans service organization that offers a variety of programs, service and events for wounded veterans of the military actions following the events of September 11, 2001.

Announce Mexico City Show with Black Label Society

American thrash metal act Battlecross have confirmed that they will be joining Machine Head, Children of Bodom and Epica on tour beginning on October 4 in Denver. All tickets will go on sale this Friday at 10am eastern.

Guitarist Tony Asta comments: “What an honor to be on this tour! We’re really stoked to reunite with Machine Head and Children of Bodom, both legendary bands and friends from last summer’s Mayhem Fest, and to see what Epica is all about. Battlecross will also be heading to Mexico City with Black Label Society, and then on to Brazil for three dates with Killswitch Engage and Memphis May Fire.

BATTLEROSS Headlining Tour Summer 2014 w/Crimson Shadows & IKillYa

American thrash metallers BATTLECROSS have confirmed summer tour dates with Canada’s Wacken Battle winners Crimson Shadows and New York’s IKILLYA.

Guitarist Hiran Deraniyagala says, “We’re excited to announce our first headline run in quite a while. It’s short but sweet, and this gives us time to write the new record this summer. We are stoked to have our Canadian brothers, Crimson Shadows joining us. We did a short run with those guys earlier this year and they’re a great live band and have an awesome record coming out next fall.“

BATTLECROSS Release Slayer Cover

- May 23rd, 2014 –

Detroit, MI’s Battlecross just released a new cover of Slayer’s “War Ensemble!” SiriusXM Liquid Metal’s Jose Mangin will debut the track live today at 5:00 pm EST. It will then repeat every three hours throughout the weekend.

Guitarist Hiran Deraniyagala says, “Slayer is obviously one of our biggest influences. Slayer taught me personally to not give a f#@k and throw in attitude in your riffs. War Ensemble is one of my favorite Slayer songs because it embodies the aggression and attitude of Slayer but also is more dynamic than a traditional Slayer song that is all speed. Jeff Hanneman was an underrated player and it’s shame his greatness was only recognized after he passed. In honor of Jeff we wanted to cover “War Ensemble” and throw in a bit of our own twist and speed to the song. Slayer!!!!!!”

The track will be streaming via Metal Hammer UK and Metal Hammer Germany beginning May 27 and will later be made available to fans via iTunes.

Battlecross‘ cover of “War Ensemble” was recorded, mixed and mastered by Matt Dalton at 37 Studios in Rochester Hills, Michigan.

BATTLECROSS Confirm South American Dates w/KILLSWITCH ENGAGE

American Thrash Titans BATTLECROSS have confirmed their first-ever South American tour dates with Killswitch Engage and Memphis May Fire in August. The band will play three dates in Brazil.

Guitarist Tony Asta of BATTLECROSS says: “Battlecross is primed and ready to explore the unknown and take on South America with the mighty Killswitch Engage and Memphis May Fire. This will be our first time ever performing in this part of the world where a strong legacy of thrash metal has created a culture of the most devoted metal heads in the planet. Tour with Protest the Hero kicks off this Saturday in Buffalo, NY – Band added to Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals in Germany!

BATTLECROSS, who just returned home from a very successful tour in Europe (the band’s first) playing with Killswitch Engage, Trivium, and Miss May I, are set to hit the road in the States this weekend on the US tour featuring Protest the Hero, The Safety Fire, Intervals, and Night Verses. The first date of the tour is in Buffalo, NY on Saturday, March 1 and wraps up in Amityville, NY on April 6.

The band comments; “We just had an amazing run with Killswitch Engage and Trivium in Europe and we’re stoked to be with them yet again in the US! We’re going to have a blast with our fans and hopefully make some new ones!”

The touring doesn’t stop here though, as BATTLECROSS will be playing dates with Killswitch Engage and Trivium as well as making a stop at the infamous New England Metal & Hardcore Festival. BATTLECROSS‘ latest album, “War of Will,” debuted at #134 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, #118 on the top current albums chart, #2 on the heatseeker chart, #15 on the current hard music chart, #16 on the hard music overall chart, and #32 on the independent albums chart. It didn’t stop here though, as the band also debuted in Canada’s Soundscan charts coming in at #178 Top 200 Current and #25 Hard Music Charts while also landing on the iTunes charts for release date at #103 Top 200, #10 on Rock, and #2 on Metal! This marks the band’s first ever Billboard chart debut! “War of Will” also peaked at #3 on the US iTunes metal chart on the day of release.

UK AND EUROPE DATES ANNOUNCED W/ KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, TRIVIUM, MISS MAY I

Tour dates in addition to previously announced UK tour

Battlecross will finally be taking their critically-acclaimed live show to Europe in 2014 with Trivium! The Detroit, MI-based metal act will begin their conquest of Europe on January 29th in Dublin, Ireland. After leaving the UK, the tour will continue throughout the rest of the European continent with shows in Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, before wrapping up the tour in Milan, Italy. This tour will be the inaugural European tour for Battlecross, who have already proven to be one of the most promising newcomers in the North American metal scene throughout the last four years.
