Allegaeon will release their new album, Proponent for Sentience, this Friday (September 23rd). Produced by Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation), Proponent for Sentience is a musically complex, intelligent, and absorbing concept record that can rightfully sit alongside the true greats of the medium. With a lyrical arc rooted in science-fiction yet uncomfortably encroaching upon the reality of the present, it captures the Fort Collins, Colorado natives at their most ambitious and accomplished, pushing the boundaries even further than on their three previous critically acclaimed full-lengths. If flaccid, identikit, breakdown-laden “metal” is the disease, Necromancing The Stone‘s recently released debut full-length, Jewel of the Vile, is the cure. Featuring current/former members of Arsis(James Malone, guitars), The Absence (Jeramie Kling, drums), The Black Dahlia Murder (Ryan “Bart” Williams, bass) and Brimstone Coven (guitarist Justin Wood and vocalist “Big” John Williams),Necromancing The Stone “has brought back the glory days [of ’80s heavy metal] with unbridled spirit”(Loudwire.com). Headliners and Swedish death metal leaders SOILWORK have been churning out melodic heavy metal masterpieces since their formation in 1995. The band is gearing up for the release of their upcoming special collection of rarities, Death Resonance, out August 19, 2016 via Nuclear Blast. You can watch the most recent in-studio update here. Pre-order Death Resonance in as CD digipak or clear vinyl here. They are also touring in support of their latest full-length album, The Ride Majestic. The Ride Majestic charted internationally upon its release, hitting the Billboard Top 200 in the US, and is available to order now in CD, vinyl, or digital formats.

Unearth is touring in support of their latest release, Watchers of Rule, released in 2014 via Entertainment One Music (eOne). The album marked their eOne debut and saw a Top 10 Billboard Hard Rock Albums chart debut, as well as a Top 200 debut. Unearth originally exploded onto the scene with their 2001 debut The Stings of Conscience, and followed with metal favorites The Oncoming Storm and III: In the Eyes of Fire, both of which solidified them as one of the top metal acts of the new millennium. They are currently writing their follow up to Watchers of Rule. Read more about Unearth here.

Battlecross will be touring in support of their latest album, Rise to Power, which landed on the Billboard charts at #103, marking the band’s second Billboard chart entry (2013’s War of Will entered the charts at #130). To preview and purchase Rise to Power, please visit: www.metalblade.com/battlecross

Wovenwar features the talents of Jordan Mancino (drums), Nick Hipa (guitar), Phil Sgrosso (guitar) and Josh Gilbert (bass) of San Diego, California based metal act As I Lay Dying, and Shane Blay (vocals) of Oh, Sleeper. Their self-titled debut landed at #36 on the Billboard Top 200 charts! To preview and purchase the record, please visit: www.metalblade.com/wovenwar

Darkness Divided will be touring in support of their self-titled sophomore release, heralded by New Noise Magazine as the album that will ‘establish Darkness Divided as major players.” The Texas metal disciples recently released a music video for ‘Back Breaker,’ and will be demonstrating their groove-laden technical metal that refuses to conform to one style.

New Album “Rise To Power” out August 21st on Metal Blade Records

Motor City thrashers BATTLECROSS are currently out on the road with Crowbar and Lord Dying on “The Summer of Doom Tour” in support of their forthcoming release “Rise to Power“! The tour has been a career highlight for the band and the legendary sludge metallers Crowbar have really taken a liking to the band.

On tour, fans can pre-order “Rise to Power” at the BATTLECROSS merch booth in the form of a limited edition tour laminate, only available at the merch booth. Each laminate will include a code, redeemable online, for a copy of the album! “Rise to Power” is also available now in special pre-order bundles at metalblade.com/battlecross. Today the band unleashes another scorching track from “Rise To Power“. Loudwire is exclusively premiering the song entitled “Spoiled“. Get your first listen to the track above.

Guitarist Tony Asta spoke about the track:
““Spoiled” kicks in with a heavy rockin old-school vibe and progresses into a brutal more technical feel. It’s also a really fun song to jam. The subject matter and lyrics of “Spoiled” were inspired by the dependency on modern technology, more specifically the cyber world. An entire generation thrives from its use but does not know what it was like before the internet existed. It IS a great tool, although the magnitude of its impact on our everyday lives sometimes gives me the chills. This is the only song I had a hand in writing lyrics for and you can thank the “phone-gazing zombies” for it.“

Additionally the first song from “Rise to Power“, “Not Your Slave“, is streaming at metalblade.com/battlecross. “Rise to Power” will be released worldwide on Metal Blade Records on August 21st, 2015. The record was produced by Jason Suecof, and mixed/mastered by Mark Lewis at Audiohammer Studios. Cover art was completed by Hungarian artist Péter Sallai (Sabaton, Sacred Steel).

The Summer of Doom is the first tour for BATTLECROSS since finishing the production for “Rise to Power“, their third Metal Blade release. The tour also puts an end to the band’s search for a permanent drummer, with bay area’s Alex Bent now firmly in place behind the kit. After performing with the band on two 2014 headliners and in South America, Alex officially joined and tracked drums for the new album.

BATTLECROSS will also appear at the 2015 Heavy MTL in Montreal on August 8th.

Motor City thrashers Battlecross have just returned home from a successful trip to Bogota, CO, and nearly immediately upon returning, have launched a brand new song from their forthcoming album, “Rise to Power“! The new song, “Not Your Slave“, is streaming at metalblade.com/battlecross, where pre-order bundles are also available.

Guitarist Tony Asta offers the following comment on the new single, “Not Your Slave“: “We’re really happy with the crushing feel of this song. Somehow through the writing process, maybe even on accident, a more groovy feel was created. We won’t write the same record twice and I think this is our strongest and more dynamic album yet.“

As previously announced, Battlecross will join Crowbar and Lord Dying on The Summer of Doom Tour, with the devastation beginning May 28th and ending July 3rd in Crowbar’s home state of Louisiana. On tour, fans can pre-order “Rise to Power” at the Battlecross merch booth in the form of a limited edition tour laminate, only available at the merch booth. Each laminate will include a code, redeemable online, for a copy of the album!

Summer of Doom Tickets are on sale now.

– April 6th, 2015 –

Motor City thrashers Battlecross have announced that they will join Crowbar and Lord Dying on The Summer of Doom Tour, with the devastation beginning May 28th and ending July 3rd in Crowbar’s home state of Louisiana.

I am beyond excited to tour with one of my favorite bands, Crowbar. Ever since I heard Odd Fellows Rest, I’ve been a fan. Kirk Windstein is such a monster guitar player. His riffs are inspiring. It’s an honor to be able to hit the road with these guys and I’m thankful and excited for the opportunity. We’re excited to get back out there, especially Western Canada (it’s been too long!) See you all soon!” saysBattlecross Guitarist, Hiran Deraniyagala.

The Summer of Doom is the first tour for Battlecross since finishing the production of their third Metal Blade release, produced by Mark Lewis and engineered by Jason Suecof at Audiohammer Studios. The tour also puts an end to the band’s search for a permanent drummer, announcing that the bay area’s Alex Bent will sit behind the kit. After performing with the band on two 2014 headliners and in South America, Alex joined the band in the studio for the next album. He can be seen here performing ‘Ghost Alive’ last winter on the Winter Warriors Tour https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OBCaEWCFiU.

Battlecross also appears at the 2015 Heavy MTL in Montreal on August 8th. Summer of Doom Tickets go on sale tomorrow, April 3rd, 2015!
